FAQ

Questions about how C2E works, what we review, and how to collaborate? Start here.

Cultural Capital Entertainment (C2E) Exists because much of today’s cultural conversation is shaped by algorithms or gatekeeping — neither is designed to recognize what endures.

About Cultural Capital Entertainment (C2E)

What is Cultural Capital Entertainment?
Cultural Capital Entertainment (C2E) is an independent creative studio and cultural platform focused on film, music, and storytelling. We develop original projects, collaborate selectively with artists, and publish criticism centered on emotional impact and long-term relevance rather than hype.

Who is behind C2E?
C2E was  started by creatives and critics who’ve worked across music, film, and cultural writing .  C2E operates independently and isn’t driven by investor or boardroom priorities . The work answers to taste, not quarterly reports.

Is C2E a label, a studio, or a media platform?
C2E is a hybrid. Depending on the project, we operate as a studio, an incubator, or a publication.

Reviews & the Charge Rating System

What is the C2E Charge Rating?
The Charge Rating is C2E’s original evaluation system. It measures emotional force, artistic risk, cultural resonance, and staying power — not popularity.

How should I interpret a Charge Rating?
A higher charge reflects work that reshapes its space and continues to feel alive years later. Technical competence without emotional risk scores lower, regardless of scale or budget.

What defines C2E’s taste?
We value obsession over polish and specificity over scale. We’re drawn to work that feels necessary rather than optimized.

Are C2E reviews paid or sponsored?
No. C2E does not accept paid coverage .

Why doesn’t C2E use stars or numerical scores?
Stars work for restaurants. Art needs a different language  Great art isn’t an 8.8 — it’s a feeling you still have at 3 a.m. five years later.

Does C2E only review new releases?
No. Impact isn’t chronological. We also apply the Charge Rating to legacy works to examine how their energy holds up over time.

Artists & Submissions

How can artists work with C2E?
Collaboration happens through project development, creative partnerships, or studio services. Each proposal is evaluated individually and selectively.

Does C2E accept unsolicited demos or scripts?
Yes, selectively.

Does submitting work guarantee coverage, representation, or a response?
No. We receive far more submissions than we can reply to. If we pass, it’s never personal — it’s capacity and alignment.

If I don’t hear back, should I follow up?
No. Due to volume, we’re unable to follow up on submissions. If a project aligns with where we are at the moment, we’ll reach out.

How should work be submitted?
Submit private links only. We do not review attachments.  (private links, no attachments) to submit@see2e.com with the subject line:
CHARGE [format] – Artist Name – Project Title

Studio & Business

What services does C2E offer?
C2E works across film development, creative direction, music projects, branding strategy, artist development, and cultural consulting.

Does C2E produce films and music?
Yes. We develop and produce original projects and collaborate with external creators when there is clear artistic alignment.  We’re interested in the work people return to, not just the work that trends.

Is C2E open to partnerships or grants?
Yes. We collaborate with partners, festivals, institutions, and funding bodies on a project-by-project basis.

Ethics & Independence

How does C2E remain independent?
Editorial work and commercial collaborations are kept separate. Creative partnerships never influence reviews or ratings.

Does C2E review its own artists or internal projects?
No. C2E does not review or assign Charge Ratings to work it produces or directly represents. Internal projects are discussed separately and never positioned as independent criticism.
